Position Summary

The Clinical Project Support Specialist I provides project-related support to assigned clinical research studies and project teams with minimal supervision. This role assists with the management of project documentation, communications, tracking tools, and operational activities to help ensure studies are conducted efficiently and in compliance with company procedures, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and applicable regulatory requirements.

Projects supported may be moderate to large in scope and complexity. The Clinical Project Support Specialist works closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to support project deliverables, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain project files, records, reports, and documentation in accordance with project requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct periodic reviews of project documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Coordinate and track project-related communications, documents, materials, and supplies.
  • Update and maintain internal systems, databases, tracking tools, timelines, and project plans.
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies in project tracking, financial data, billing activities, or other project-related information.
  • Prepare and distribute project status reports, tracking reports, and financial reports.
  • Support project managers with budget tracking and invoice processing activities.
  • Develop presentation materials and project summary reports for internal and external meetings.
  • Coordinate project team and client meetings, including scheduling, logistics, and meeting materials.
  • Collaborate with project support teams to ensure consistency and efficiency across processes.
  • Serve as a backup contact for project teams and external stakeholders when designated.
  • Assist with project management activities as assigned.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or a related field required.
  • 2 years of relevant professional experience in clinical trials.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Experience supporting clinical research, project coordination, or related functions preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other business software.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $27,600.00 - $69,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
