
We are seeking a Metrology Technician to join IQVIA Laboratories in Ithaca, New York.
Job Summary:
What You'll Be Doing:
- Install and qualify new laboratory equipment, analytical instrumentation, and associated control software according to standard operating procedures
- Perform routine calibrations, verifications, preventative maintenance, and repairs while maintaining accurate and compliant documentation
- Troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation issues with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and internal IT
- Support analytical instrumentation validation and the validation of instrument software
- Maintain preventative maintenance programs, equipment inventories, consumables, spare parts, and related database records
- Monitor equipment systems and alerts, coordinate after-hours coverage, and support emergency response and business continuity activities
- Maintain instrumentation and metrology procedures, provide audit documentation, and train employees on standard equipment use
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, quality, safety, and operational efficiency
What We Are Looking For:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- 6 months experience in a laboratory environment
- Hands-on experience operating basic laboratory measuring and test equipment
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word and particularly Excel, is required
- Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and resolve process issues
- Applicable certifications and licenses as required by local regulations
- Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $42,700.00 - $89,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
