
IQVIA Clinical Outcomes Assessments (COAs) organization leads the industry in generating data to ensure that the patient voice is incorporated into the development and commercialization of medication and other drug/non-drug interventions.
The Scoring Delivery and Operations Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery and internal operational workflow for COA scoring. The role will work directly with clients and study teams to assess scoring needs and methodologies, define the appropriate IQVIA solution and delivery approach. The position will take overall responsibility for coordinating the ingestion of new scoring algorithms—from source-material collection and BRD development through scientific review, test-dataset generation, scoring-library programming, validation, QA and release across IQVIA’s scoring products. The position will also serve as the principal client-facing contact, providing expert guidance, clear progress updates and a responsive, client-centric experience.
Main Responsibilities
Engage with clients and internal study teams to assess scoring needs, understand the intended use of scores, and clarify study-specific requirements, timelines, data flows, and delivery constraints.
Evaluate the available scoring methodologies and delivery options, and advise clients and internal stakeholders on the most appropriate approach based on the instrument, study requirements, available documentation, implementation feasibility, and client needs.
Serve as a client-facing point of contact throughout scoring delivery.
Own the operational delivery of COA scoring implementations from confirmed request through scoring requirements, test dataset development, algorithm implementation, validation, quality assurance, release, and hand-off for client use.
Manage a structured, multi-stage scoring pipeline with multiple instruments and studies progressing in parallel. Identify and manage delivery risks.
Provide clear status updates, delivery forecasts, risk statements, and recovery plans to clients and internal stakeholders as required.
Work with scientific and technical teams to implement AI-enabled and automated workflows across scoring requirements, test dataset generation, algorithm ingestion, and release documentation.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Degree in Life Sciences, Business, Operations, Project Management, or related field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in consulting, project delivery, programme operations, product operations, clinical or data operations, scientific operations, or a comparable process-heavy environment.
Demonstrated ability to assess internal and external customer needs, structure complex problems, and translate requirements into a practical delivery approach.
Strong client-centric mindset with experience building trusted relationships, advising clients, and managing client expectations throughout delivery.
Experience managing structured, multi-stage production pipelines with frequent hand-offs and multiple items progressing simultaneously.
Strong project management, organisational, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain technical or scientific considerations clearly and communicate delivery status and risks to clients and senior stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
Experience working in regulated, validated, audit-sensitive, or quality-controlled environments.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and ability to prepare clear delivery reports, trackers, client updates, and presentations.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate across global teams.
Fluency in English.
Knowledge of Clinical Outcome Assessments, patient-reported outcomes, scoring algorithms, or instrument implementation will be advantageous.
Familiarity with statistical programming or data workflows using SAS, R, APIs, or structured test datasets is an advantage.
Experience developing or improving SOPs, templates, checklists, workflow controls, or other standardized operational processes.
Prior experience leveraging AI tools and automation for work is preferred but not required.
