Job Description
We are seeking a Chinese-speaking Clinical Trial Rater to support high-quality, standardized assessments within clinical research studies. As a Clinical Specialist Consultant, you will help ensure the reliability and consistency of patient assessments and rating scale administration across clinical trials.
Key responsibilities include reviewing rating scales, conducting patient assessments, evaluating rater performance, and providing guidance to maintain high assessment standards. You may also assist with communication tasks, training, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review scales administered by raters to ensure standardized and reliable assessments.
- Conduct patient assessments and administer rating scales as required.
- Evaluate assessment quality and provide live feedback on methodologies, scoring techniques, and best practices.
- Conduct functional assessments of rater performance (e.g., mock interviews).
- Support preparation and distribution of project communications.
- Participate in orientation, training, and calibration activities.
- Review case data and prepare for discussions regarding scale items and assessment issues.
- Complete scheduled rater interactions and assigned tasks on time.
- Ensure timely submission of all documentation and task-related materials.
Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Education: Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Psychology, Counseling, Psychiatric Nursing, Social Work, or equivalent. MD, DO, or PhD preferred.
- Assessment Experience: Minimum 3 years administering psychiatric assessments, rating scales, and structured clinical interviews. Experience with EQ-5D-5L is required.
- Clinical Experience: At least 3 years working with psychiatric populations.
- Research Experience: Minimum 3 years administering scales in clinical research trials (excluding graduate or doctoral research).
- Preferred: Experience in CNS (central nervous system) trials.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication; excellent organization, attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Technical: Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Language Requirement: Fluent in Chinese and proficient in English.
